A mother goose is a protective parent. She will hiss, charge and bite humans or predators that threaten her young. Don't let her charm and grace fool you - as one who has been bitten by a mother goose, she can do great harm. Casein was the medium of choice for this painting. It has a creamy quality that results in a soft, clean looking work of art. This painting was chosen to be included in the WV DNR Wildlife calendar.
